More than 400 ladies slipped into their stilettos and joined together at the first annual Wine, Women & Shoes Phoenix for a day of shopping and fun with the common purpose of supporting Fresh Start Women’s Foundation.

Friends, colleagues, daughters, mothers, and grandmothers from throughout the Phoenix area gathered at Chateau Luxe on September 16, 2017, and helped to raise nearly $150,000 to benefit Fresh Start Women’s Foundation.

Chelsey Davis from ABC15 Arizona held the coveted title of Emcee and attendees were treated to a sophisticated afternoon of wine tastings, a silent auction featuring amazing products and retail goodies, a fashion marketplace and a fashion show featuring designer Marissa Webb hosted by Amy Inc.

“The tremendous support from the community, sponsors, event partners and volunteers affirmed the interest in helping transform the lives of Phoenix-area women. Wine, Women & Shoes Phoenix will continue Fresh Start’s mission to help thousands of women with life skills, career, and social support services”, said event Co-chairs Kim Fowee-Perera and Jessica Gale.

The luncheon also featured over 30 community-minded “Shoe Guys” representing area organizations like Arizona Bank & Trust, Snell & Wilmer, and the Phoenix Fire Department who showed off the latest fashions on a silver platter.

The event highlighted a Best in Shoe contest and shoe judges, Dr. Anna M. Natcher and Sandra Mateu, selected winners for the Sexiest Sandals, Best Fashion Forward Statement Shoe, and the Most Fabulous Flats.

“The event was absolutely top-notch in every way. I am so proud to work with those who helped to make this event such a success”, said Susan Berman, President, and CEO of Fresh Start Women’s Foundation.

Fresh Start Women’s Foundation is excited to continue the success of Wine, Women & Shoes and is eager to begin planning the 2018 event.
