(Phoenix, AZ) – On Friday November 2, 2018 the Fresh Start Women’s Foundation Men’s Board hosted the 24th Annual Fresh Start Charity Golf Classic presented by Valley Toyota Dealers. The tournament is one of the largest non-celebrity charity golf tournaments in Arizona and raised nearly $342,000 this year.

Held at Kierland Golf Club, nearly 200 golfers participated in the day that included breakfast, golf, 12 chances to win a Toyota vehicle with the hole in one contest, silent auction, lunch program and live auction. An audience favorite, the Toyota raffle, continued in style. Each year, our generous presenting sponsor, Valley Toyota Dealers donates a car to be raffled and this year one lucky winner drove off with a Brand-New Toyota RAV4 Adventure! As always, the audience was excited to see who won the grand prize.

“We are so fortunate to have Valley Toyota Dealers as our presenting sponsor,” says VP of Development Cathy Kleeman. “They bring a level of excitement and prestige to the event and our Men’s Board loves working with them each year.  The partnership with Valley Toyota Dealers has really allowed the Men’s Board to take the tournament to the next level.”

After a full day of golfing on the Kierland greens, golfers were entertained by the VanReed Brothers during the lunch program. Men’s Board chair, Brett Angner, lead the lunch program and reminded attendees of the purpose of the golf tournament: raising funds for the programs and services at Fresh Start Women’s Foundation.

“The Fresh Start Men’s Board works incredibly hard to put this event together and we have such a strong team,” says Men’s Board Chair, Brett Angner. “We are all committed to the vision and mission of Fresh Start and truly believe in the work they are doing. This tournament is one way we can come together to give back to women in need.”

Fresh Start is proud of the efforts of the Men’s Board and thanks all of the sponsors, golfs, supporters, and volunteers that made the event such a success. Without partners and community support, events like the golf tournament would not be possible. Fresh Start looks forward to planning the 25th Annual Fresh Start Charity Golf Classic in 2019.
