FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Phoenix, AZ – Fresh Start Women’s Foundation is honored to announce their selection as a Vehicle for Change in Our Community 2017-2018 sponsored by Valley Toyota Dealers and Univision Arizona. This new community-focused program is aimed at informing, educating and empowering the Hispanic community.

As selectees of the program, Fresh Start will receive a variety of benefits throughout January 2018 such as features on Univision Arizona television, radio, digital and social media.  Univision Arizona has also awarded Fresh Start with a $2,500 grant, which will support programs that positively impact the 5,00 women served by Fresh Start.

“We are thrilled to be working with Univision Arizona and Valley Toyota Dealers,” says Fresh Start’s VP of Development Cathy Kleeman. “The exposure we are receiving through this program will allow us to reach new audiences and further impact our community.”

With a diverse client population, when a woman comes into the Fresh Start she sees herself. A bilingual staff is available to guide women on their journey and help her select the programs and services she needs. Fresh Start is a safe haven and offers a wide breadth of programs and services including: career readiness, family law support, social work services, domestic violence support, scholarships, mentoring, computer skills training, professional clothing, and financial coaching, as well as job placement services through the onsite Goodwill Career Center. Through the Univision Arizona grant, Fresh Start hopes to create awareness in the community about their services and programs.

“If you have a sister, aunt, cousin or female friend that needs help – please send her our way,” says Kleeman. “When a woman comes here broken, it is our goal to wrap around her, build her confidence and help her see a brighter future. We are so appreciative that Univision Arizona and Valley Toyota Dealers are giving us the opportunity to reach more women in the community and spread our message of hope.”

Stay tuned to Univision Arizona online, on social media, television and radio to learn more about Fresh Start all month long!
