July 19, 2019
Fresh Start Women’s Foundation is honored to announce their selection and inclusion in the “Phoenix Stories” publication by the Phoenix Business Journal for the second year in a row. Released on July 19th, “Phoenix Stories” is a special publication produced by the Phoenix Business Journal each year and includes 19 stories from non-profit organizations from around the valley.
“We are so excited to be part of Phoenix Stories for a second year,” says VP of Development Cathy Kleeman. “We appreciate the ways the Phoenix Business Journal spotlights local nonprofits. We are honored to be included in Phoenix Stories and have the opportunity to share our mission and how our work affects women in our community.”
A distinguished panel of judges from the Phoenix Business Journal newsroom and members of the business community have selected 19 finalists from the stories featured in Phoenix Stories. Those 19 stories will be promoted for several weeks on the Phoenix Business Journal website where readers will be able to vote for their favorite success story of 2019.
This is another opportunity to secure funds for Fresh Start with the first-place story receiving a check for $10,000 and two additional stories receiving honorable mention prizes of $5,000 each. You can Fresh Start’s story online and vote via the 2019 Phoenix Stories Poll. Voting ends August 31st.
Fresh Start is asking you to vote for their story about resiliency, persistence and the strength of the human spirit. The published story reflects on the journey of one-woman overcoming years of trauma and abuse who found a path towards healing and resilience.
