Annual Luncheon raises over $300,000 for Fresh Start Women’s Foundation

Fresh Start Women’s Foundation is honored to announce that our 2019 Annual Luncheon raised over $300,000 to benefit the programs and services offered by Fresh Start. Hosted by the Fresh Start Women’s Foundation Auxiliary Board, and presented by PetSmart, women from around the valley came together at Chateau Luxe for an afternoon of wine, shopping and fashion.

(Phoenix, AZ) – Fresh Start Women’s Foundation is honored to announce that our 2019 Annual Luncheon raised over $300,000 to benefit the programs and services offered by Fresh Start.  Hosted by the Fresh Start Women’s Foundation Auxiliary Board, and presented by PetSmart, women from around the valley came together at Chateau Luxe for an afternoon of wine, shopping and fashion.

Chelsey Davis from ABC15 co-emceed the event with her husband Brandon Hamilton from Channel 3. The two brought a new energy and passion to the luncheon as guests were treated to a fashion show presented by Dillard’s, runway strut with the Best in Shoe competition sponsored by My Sister’s Closet and exciting prize announcements. 

“This event is unique compared to other charity events in the valley and our attendees look forward to it each year. Our co-chairs, Allison Davis and Lindsey Della Donna really took this event to another level,” says Cathy Kleeman, VP of Development at Fresh Start. “The Fresh Start Auxiliary Board has always been critical to the growth of this event, it is amazing to see what a great job they have done reaching the next generation of people that will be passionate about Fresh Start’s mission.”

The luncheon also featured 23 community-minded men who competed to be crowned as highest fundraiser. Tony Alfonso with BDO USA, LLP was crowned, raising an incredible $5,325. Andy Parnell, with LaneTerralever, was the runner-up, raising $1,585. In total, the group raised a record setting $12,000 for Fresh Start and were a huge help as volunteers during the event. 

Auctioneer Anna Aja brought down the house with a compelling call to the heart. The grand finale of the event was the announcement for the winner of ultimate closet in the “Key to the Closet” competition. Sponsored by Scottsdale Fashion Square and Classy Closets, one lucky winner received the coveted prize that was valued at over $10,000 which included designer bags, beauty baskets, gift cards and more!

Fresh Start Women’s Foundation is excited to continue the success of our luncheon and is eager to begin planning the 2020 event.
