become a fresh start volunteer

Fresh Start Women's Foundation empowers thousands of women each year to transform their lives through education and engagement. Just as our clients rely on us for the support they need to succeed, we need your support to continue creating happy, healthy, confident members of our community.

We are always looking for passionate, engaged community members who want to donate their time, skills, and talents to help our clients grow.

Volunteer opportunities

Coaching

Our Career Coaches meet with clients one-on-one for 45 minute sessions. The volunteer is expected to quickly triage the client to determine her greatest needs and help her find her next steps/action items. Career Coaches should have HR or hiring experience, be at least 25 years of age and pass a background check.

Mentors

At Fresh Start, we believe in the idea of women supporting women. Our Mentoring Program has been in place for over 20 years and provides women with the opportunity to receive long-standing and committed support from professional women and their peers in career and educational group support environments.

Women in the Mentoring Program are committed to making significant changes in the professional aspects of their lives. The Mentoring Program enables women to receive the support they need to be able to identify, work through, and achieve professional goals that are most important to them.

For more information and questions, please contact Program Manager, Jennifer Koeller: jkoeller@fswf.org

Foundation Series

Our four foundation series classes are: Assertive Communication, Developing Boundaries, Goal Setting, and Stress Relief. We believe every woman can benefit from taking these four classes and they are the foundation of everything else that we offer. Volunteers are needed to help facilitate these classes. Volunteers are expected to have presentation experience and expertise in the areas taught.

Computer Literacy

Our Computer Literacy classes cover everything from basic windows processes to advanced Excel tools. We offer these classes nearly every day and always need volunteers to help facilitate them. Volunteers for these classes are required to have presentation experience and expertise in the areas taught.

Client Services

The Client Services team oversee the front desk at Fresh Start. As a volunteer on this team, you will be meeting every woman who comes into Fresh Start. The client services team is the face of Fresh Start. Volunteers should be kind and courteous but also able to maintain boundaries. Volunteers should also be willing to learn all about Fresh Start's services.
